Ileana D'Cruz is an Indian film
actress, who predominantly appears in Telugu cinema. She started her career as
a model and then debuted in the Telugu film Devadasu in 2006 directed by
Y.V.S.Chowdhary who spotted her in a Fair and Lovely ad film directed by Rakesh
Roshan. She went on to appear in commercially successful ventures Pokiri
(2006), Jalsa (2008) and Kick (2009), establishing herself as one of Telugu
cinema's leading actresses. D'Cruz then made her Tamil film debut alongside
Ravi Krishna in Kedi and made a comeback in Shankar's Nanban (2012). In 2012,
she made her debut in Bollywood with Barfi opposite Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka
Chopra. Now she will soon be seen in a romantic comedy film, Happy Ending.
Biography
Ileana was born in Mumbai,
Maharashtra on 1 November,1987 as the second child to her parents Ronaldo and
Samira. She has three siblings - older sister Farrah, younger brother Rhys and
youngest sister Eileen. Ileana started her career as a model and did many
photoshoots and fashion shows. She debuted in the Telugu film Devadasu in 2006.
Her breakthrough came from her second Telgu film Pokiri (2006). In 2012, she
made her debut in Bollywood with Barfi opposite Ranbir Kapoor. She was also seen
in the movie Phata Poster Nikla Hero opposite Shahid Kapoor.
